I was still attracted to her and decided that I would go with her to a Campus Crusade for Christ meeting. A friend named Tim went with me. I liked the singing and sincerity of the people. Afterwards, a staff member, Ben, said that he would like to meet with me. At first I told him I didn’t have the time. I also told him that the meeting was nice. The singing was beautiful. I also told him that I thought that if he met with me that he would not continue to believe like he was and I didn’t want to spoil his belief. He stayed there and waited. My friend Tim was next to me. I told Ben OK and then I turned to Tim in Ben’s presence and said “Hey, check this guy out, he’s trying to convert me!” Well, I met with Ben and we discussed the problems that Bertrand Russell presented. The primary problem was that he said that Jesus said to his followers that some of them would not die until Jesus brought forth his kingdom on earth. In addition, Russell said that Jesus said that the generation in Jesus’ day would not pass away until Jesus established His reign on earth. Since Jesus didn’t return and His followers all died Christianity wasn’t true.

[28] And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
[29] And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
[30] And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
[31] Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
