Robert’s Testimony
I was born in New Jersey back in 1963. When I was about 10 years old, we moved to Phoenix Arizona. I spent most of my childhood there, so I consider Phoenix my hometown.
I grew up in a loving home with two wonderful parents and two caring brothers. There was an emphasis on education in the household. Even though I had some opportunities to hear about Christ, I eventually came to believe that there was no God.
When I attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff Arizona to study Forestry, I met a Christian named Lynne. She was attractive and shared with me about God. I was attracted to her physical and spiritual beauty. I wanted the spiritual beauty that I saw in her, but I sincerely believed Christianity wasn’t true. One time she shard with me about God’s love for me through Jesus. She also said that we were all sinners and that the wages of sin was death. She mentioned that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for everyone’s sins. Finally, she mentioned that we each needed to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord through faith as an act of the will. I had a feeling of really being loved as she was sharing these things with me.
